Early prototypes of the new PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE – the next home of HITS Technology – were already in the hands of dozens of esports athletes, behind-closed-doors at the Winter Workshop. Some already had first-hand experience with SUPERSTRIKE prototypes and could share feedback on design changes. To others, this was the first time they felt the reengineered click – adjustable actuation and rapid trigger reset points, plus haptic click-feel intensity.
Feedback ranged from click speed, mouse feel, durability, and glide. For days, researchers and product designers observed and tracked biomechanics movement and real-time critique. Engineers were meanwhile exploring the limits and efficiencies of a new silicon chipset to push technical optimizations further.
Over the next few months, as reception poured in for the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, internal design and engineering teams meshed athlete feedback into solutions. The challenge was to bridge what was possible and what kept development moving. Optimization results stabilized for the new NxLOGI chipset and it had proved to be impressively efficient. Battery life extended by 50% per charge and both wired and LIGHTSPEED Wireless connection speeds reported at 8kHz (0.125ms).
