Over 300 mousepads are registered on the Prosettings.net, an online database cataloging the gear that esports athletes use to perform their best. Sixteen percent of registered athletes use a Logitech G mousepad, but pros have been demanding a PRO Series mousepad for years. We listened. For over two years, product development teams have refined every aspect of the most competitive surface in esports to craft the PRO X CONTROL especially for esports-sized plays.

Gaming mousepads do more than protect the desk or mouse-feet. Their construction methods intentionally enhance mouse glide, reduce it, or provide balance of speed and control. Speed (or glide) pads use a tightly woven, often coated surface designed to reduce friction on the mice skates – preferred by athletes with low mouse sensitivity for rapid, sweeping motions like flick shots to be even smoother. Control pads use a more open weave pattern to increase friction, generally along the X-axis, to suit athletes looking for better handling of mouse micro-adjustments.

Applying our 10 years of esports product design knowledge, we took everything we knew about mice and combined it with insights from the hundreds of athletes using our products. We designed a surface carefully balanced, thoughtfully premium, and performance-focused to support the next wave of esports champions.

Logitech G design and product teams carefully analyzed athletes biomechanics and surveyed dozens of pros to map out the first PRO Series mousepad features and dimensions. A year in, we went back to the drawing board to ensure we got it right. As a result, PRO X CONTROL features a unique omnidirectional knit pattern to provide balanced grip & glide at every angle, useful for every athlete.

The sub-surface edge stitching was thoughtfully integrated to eliminate any seam rubbing at the wrist and or raised lip to catch the mouse or hand in the midst of a movement. A thicker 6 millimeters of SlimFlex foam established a level of comfort that every athlete that tested it commented on – a choice  specifically made for extra support during marathon sessions. PRO X CONTROL’s 400x460 millimeter area gives plenty of runway for esports-sized plays.

During early testing, NAVI’s CS2 and VALORANT teams were so impressed with the sample, they requested another batch of the early salmon pink prototypes to be printed. In fact, PRO X CONTROL was an extremely popular prototype, the product team had more requests for samples by sponsored teams and Pro Alliance athletes than any other PRO Series product.
