The Logitech G RS50 is built with adaptability in mind. It’s a modular system that can be configured differently depending on what you’re racing and how you drive. Here’s what the RS50 ecosystem looks like across GT racing, formula racing, rally, drift and truck simulation.
WHY RS50?
It all starts with the wheelbase. In this one element of your sim racing rig lies massive potential. The RS50’s modular system is designed so that the same wheelbase can be used to expand into configurations suited to GT and formula racing, rally and drift, and truck sim. So swapping disciplines doesn’t mean you have to replace hardware; it just means swapping what’s on the hub.
The RS50 Wheel Hub’s integrated quick release supports the full RS rim family (RS Round Wheel, RS Formula Wheel (McLaren Racing Edition, if you like), MOMO x Logitech G wheel) for quick, easy swapping between wheel shapes and sizes. On PC, virtually any aftermarket wheel with 70mm or 50.8mm PCD mounting can be used with RS50 Wheel Base via the RS QR Adapter.

GT CIRCUIT SETUP
Circuit racing is one of most popular entry points into sim racing, so having a setup that supports this discipline is a great place to start. Success on the track often comes down to braking consistency, where precision makes all the difference. To make it easier to find that precise braking pressure with consistency, the RS Pedals’ 75 kg load cell brake measures pressure rather than pedal travel, allowing for more accurate threshold braking and repeatable performance lap after lap.
The RS Round Wheel works …. But if you want to take it up a notch, the RS Track Wheel is a great pairing for this type of driving. It is optimised for GT and sports car racing, with a design focused on clear visibility and button access, both crucial during high-intensity circuit driving.
Paired with the RS50’s Direct Drive motor and TRUEFORCE, it delivers detailed feedback on corner entry and weight transfer, giving you the information you need to stay consistent and competitive.

FORMULA RACING SETUP
Open-wheel racing demands a different kind of control, faster inputs, sharper responses, and absolute precision at all times. Based on the design of McLaren Racing’s MCL38 - the RS Formula Wheel McLaren Racing Edition is built for exactly that, translating the demand of single-seater racing into a focused, purpose-driven rim. With a simple wheel swap using the quick-release mechanism, the RS50 transforms into a formula ready setup, ideal for titles like F1 25.
Paired with TRUEFORCE and the RS50’s Direct Drive motor, this configuration delivers high-fidelity, physics-driven feedback that keeps pace with the intense loads of high-downforce cornering. Every input is immediate, allowing you to feel grip levels, kerb detail, and weight transfer with clarity through fast direction changes. TRUEFORCE also helps communicate the fine balance between grip and slip during high-speed cornering, making it easier to sense when you’re approaching the limit before understeer or oversteer costs valuable time.
Precise braking is just as important in formula racing as it is in a GT car, so pair this with the RS Pedals’ load cell brake and your setup is tuned for podium finishes. It’s a configuration designed not just for speed, but consistency.

RALLY AND DRIFT SIM RACING SETUP
For rally and drift competition, a dynamic driving style is required, where rapid steering inputs and constant corrections are key. The RS Round Wheel is designed with this in mind, offering a fuller grip that supports fast rotation and control during fast counter-steering. The RS50’s slip-ring design supports up to 2700° rotation, and the RS Round Wheel helps manage the more extreme rotational inputs typically used in drift and rally environments.
Paired with two RS Shifter & Handbrakes it pulls it all together, bringing a more physical, immersive layer to the setup. A dedicated handbrake adds another layer of realism, perfect for initiating controlled slides in rally and drift, while giving you the precision and immediacy needed to link corners and maintain control. The other RS Shifter & Handbrake can act as a dedicated sequential shifter, letting you focus on the next turn while quickly shifting to the right gear.
If classic rally cars are what you have in mind, then you can instead opt for the RS H-Shifter that gives you the manual shifting control found in that classic era.

TRUCK SIM SETUP
For truck simulation, pairing the RS50 with RS Round Wheel and RS H-Shifter creates a setup tailored to long-haul realism and depot control. Or if you want to use a real truck wheel you can mount one using the Logitech G RS QR Adapter.
Real commercial trucks operate with much higher steering rotation (between 1400 and over 1800°) than standard road cars. The RS50’s slip-ring design supports up to 2700° of rotation, ensuring the steering range accurately reflects the demands of truck driving, from tight manoeuvres to steady motorway cruising. (Richard Neville, Logitech G's Head of Simulation, recommends a rotation 2520° setting for Euro Truck Simulator 2, for example.)
Adding the RS H-Shifter allows you to map manual transmission systems in titles like Euro Truck Simulator 2, including range and splitter gear simulation for a more authentic driving experience.
Together, this setup emphasises precision and endurance needed for those long hauls, just showing how the RS50 platform can adapt seamlessly to the demands of truck sim.

ONE BASE, FOUR WAYS TO DRIVE
All four genres run seamlessly from the same RS50 base. The RS50 System ships with the RS Round Wheel, covering rally/drift and truck sim out of the box. This is the kind of setup that is built to grow and evolve with you, adding accessories and rims where your preference changes. With TRUEFORCE providing high-definition force feedback across every configuration, each setup delivers its own distinct driving character while remaining powered by the same adaptable RS50 platform.
