Esports science is a hybrid discipline – equal parts digital and physical. Action on the server can be easily captured and processed through data collection, but the actual biomechanical movement translated through peripherals like mice and keyboards requires specialized, empirical testing.

The ‘Designed with Pros’ process often requires our research teams to meet esports athletes where they are, at their competitive peak. Other times, we’re able to gather them during the off-season for dedicated sessions, like we did at the 2025 Winter Workshop. 

At DreamHack Atlanta, human performance took center stage. We worked together with visiting athletes to update motion capture profiles, adding nuance to athlete performance as well as getting their highly-valuable feedback on currently in-development products.
