Euro Truck Simulator 2 is all about the journey. Fine-tune your Logitech G wheel settings to make every mile, corner and long-haul delivery feel more lifelike and immersive.

ETS2 AND THE RS50

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is built around the experience of being behind the wheel of a heavy-duty truck. From long motorway hauls to tight depot manoeuvres, the right wheel settings can completely change how every journey feels.

To recreate the feeling of a real truck cab, your setup needs to match the scale and weight of commercial vehicle steering. That means having enough rotation for precise control and settings that let Euro Truck Simulator 2’s physics come through naturally.

The RS50 Wheel Base is designed to deliver that level of control, with opportunities to customize your gear to match the demands of Euro Truck Simulator 2.

RECOMMENDED RS50 ETS2 SETTINGS

Richard Neville, Logitech G's Head of Simulation, has made those tweaks easy by developing a specific RS50 configuration for Euro Truck Simulator 2 on PC, designed to provide a balance of realistic steering weight and responsive force feedback.

Setting Value
G HUB Mode RS
Filter 3
Dampener 60
Rotation 2520°

FILTER 3

“Having too much filter can make the wheel feel too soft, so a lower figure is preferred. If you wish to have a smoother feeling from the wheel and the force feedback effects, then increase this until you're happy.”

DAMPENER 60

“Big, heavy trucks have big, heavy steering and adding more dampener helps replicate that feeling in the steering wheel.”

ROTATION 2520°

“This matches the correct steering rotation for many trucks. Make sure you set that in the game's options too.”

ROTATION

A real truck’s steering wheel has a higher total rotation range than a standard road car.  Depending on the vehicle, steering wheels can rotate between 1440° and over 1800°, allowing drivers to make precise adjustments at high speeds while still having enough movement for tight corners and low-speed manoeuvres.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is built around a physics model that closely simulates this, so matching your wheel rotation to the game will help give you a more natural 1:1 driving feel. At the suggested 2520° rotation on the RS50, your inputs become smoother and more progressive, closer to the wide steering movement of a real truck.

ACCESSORIES

For the next level of immersion, expand your setup with the RS H-Shifter and integrate it into your RS50 setup.

The RS H-Shifter allows you to map a manual transmission setup in Euro Truck Simulator 2, including range and splitter gear simulation via assigned buttons on the wheel. This adds another layer of immersion by more closely replicating how professional truck drivers operate.

For long haul drivers, it is a game changer. Instead of relying on button inputs or paddle shifters, you can work through a truck’s gearbox in an authentic H-pattern format.

Looking to build an ETS2 setup? Both RS50 variants are compatible with Euro Truck Simulator 2 on PC, so your choice comes down to which other platforms you plan to use for sim racing.

The best ETS2 setups disappear into the experience. With the right rotation, force feedback and accessories, the RS50 brings you closer to the feeling of sitting in the cab, where every turn, shift and mile feels part of the journey.
