THE BEST SIM RACING SETUP FOR EVERY BUDGET

THE BEST SIM RACING SETUP FOR EVERY BUDGET

The best sim racing setup depends on your budget and how far you want to take it. Moving up the Logitech G lineup gives you a smoother, accurate, and more responsive driving experience from the game, not just more force. To get started, the Logitech G923 Racing Wheel and Pedals brings TRUEFORCE — Logitech G's proprietary force feedback — in a complete wheel-and-pedals set. To step up to direct drive, the Logitech G RS50 System delivers up to 8 Nm of peak torque.¹ For the most force, the Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel is another direct-drive wheel that delivers up to 11 Nm of peak torque, close to what's felt in many real racing cars.

WHAT MAKES A SIM RACING SETUP RIGHT FOR YOU?

The right sim racing setup matches your budget and your commitment on two things: the force feedback technology and how complete a package you need. Each step up the Logitech G lineup — force feedback, then TRUEFORCE, then direct drive — adds a more accurate signal, not just more force. A player getting started wants a complete wheel-and-pedals set that works out of the box. A player ready to step up wants direct-drive feedback, which places the motor directly on the wheel shaft so the game's physics reach your hands with nothing in between. An enthusiast building a dedicated rig wants the strongest wheel in the range, with a quick-release rim to swap and the freedom to add their own pedals. Start from where you are, then match the setup to it.

BEST SIM RACING SETUP TO GET STARTED: G923 RACING WHEEL AND PEDALS

To get into sim racing, the Logitech G923 Racing Wheel and Pedals gives you a complete set in one box. It uses TRUEFORCE, Logitech G's proprietary force feedback: it connects directly to the game's physics and audio engines and processes that data internally 4,000 times per second, delivering real-time signals from the game rather than scripted haptic effects,¹ so you feel road texture and tire slip as they happen. The G923 shares the same design DNA as the G29 and G920, with the same wheel dimensions and pedal layout, and adds TRUEFORCE on top. It's a gear-based wheel with closed-loop motor electronics, and it adds programmable dual-clutch launch control, a progressive brake pedal, a built-in 24-point selection dial, and an RPM LED rev indicator.

Built to last, the G923 wheel measures 270 (10.63 in) × 278 (10.94 in) × 260mm (10.24 in) and weighs 2.25kg (4.96 lbs) , and the pedals measure 167 (6.57 in) × 311 (12.24 in) × 428.5mm (16.87 in) at 3.1kg (6.83 lbs). It's made with 52% post-consumer recycled plastic.* It comes in a PlayStation variant (PS5, PS4, PC), Xbox variant (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC) and PC-only variant.

BEST SIM RACING SETUP FOR STEPPING UP TO DIRECT DRIVE: RS50 SYSTEM

To move up to direct drive, the Logitech G RS50 System is a wheel system you can grow, not a single fixed setup. Direct drive removes the gear reduction mechanism entirely and places the motor directly on the wheel shaft, so force feedback travels from the game to your hands with no abstraction and no delay. The RS50 System delivers up to 8 Nm of peak torque¹ with TRUEFORCE and a slip-ring design that supports up to 2700° of rotation. This is also where TRUEFORCE fully opens up: direct-drive torque gives it the range to express the full signal the game is sending. It carries an integrated OLED display and LIGHTSYNC RPM LEDs, and the RS Wheel Hub adds 13 console-specific buttons while the 11-inch (291mm) RS Round Wheel handles the driving.

Know what's in the box. The RS50 System bundle includes the RS50 Base, the RS Wheel Hub, the RS Round Wheel, and the RS50 Table Clamp. Pedals are a decision in themselves and sold separately (RS Pedals, with a 75 kg load cell brake, or RS Pedals SE with hall effect gas and brake). You don't start from zero, either: the Racing Adapter carries G-series pedals and the Driving Force Shifter forward, so a G923 owner stepping up keeps the gear they already own. The base weighs 4.4kg, and the System is made with a minimum of 28% recycled materials. It sits in the middle of the Logitech G sim racing range, above the gear-based G923 and below the PRO Racing Wheel. As Richard Neville, Head of Simulation at Logitech G, notes, per-game G HUB settings help you dial the RS50 in for each title.

BEST SIM RACING WHEEL FOR MAXIMUM FORCE FEEDBACK: PRO RACING WHEEL

For an enthusiast building a dedicated rig, the Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel delivers the most force in this lineup. It's a complete direct-drive wheel with up to 11 Nm of peak torque and TRUEFORCE,¹ designed with and for professional sim drivers and delivering torque close to what's felt in many real cars. It pairs a high-performance direct-drive base with a quick-release wheel hub that carries an OLED display and the PRO button layout. Its magnetic gear shift paddles use contactless hall-effect sensors, with no physical contact to wear down, engineered for precision across millions of shifts, and dual clutch analog paddles add launch control and clutch simulation. It's carbon neutral through offsets.

The PRO Racing Wheel includes the steering wheel with a quick-release, so you can swap in other rims. Pedals are sold separately. It suits a player building or upgrading a dedicated rig around the strongest wheel in the range.

HOW DOES THE G923 COMPARE TO THE G29?

The Logitech G923 is a new addition to the lineup, not a replacement for the G29. It shares the same design DNA as the G29 and G920, with the same wheel dimensions and pedal layout, and still supports their legacy force feedback, but new firmware and electronics make it more responsive, and it adds TRUEFORCE, which the G29 does not have. The upgrade isn't more force, it's a more accurate signal: TRUEFORCE reads the game's physics and audio in real time rather than replaying scripted effects. Both are gear-based wheels rather than direct-drive wheels. If you own a G29 and are happy with it, it remains a capable wheel; if you're buying new and want TRUEFORCE feedback, the G923 is the step forward.

WHAT SHOULD I UPGRADE IF I CURRENTLY USE A G29, G920, OR G923 ON A CONSOLE?

If you are currently using a G-Series wheel on a console, the Logitech G Racing Adapter lets you upgrade your setup piecemeal. You can upgrade to a direct-drive wheel while keeping your current pedals (and Driving Force Shifter, if you own one), or vice versa—upgrading to a load-cell pedal set while keeping your current G-Series wheel. If you are a PC player, you only need the adapter to connect your legacy G-Series pedals and/or shifter to your PC or to a new Logitech G Direct Drive wheel.

WHICH SETUP IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
